Category: Health Care , Topic: A Replicable Model for IT Based Health System
Research / Technology Details: A Replicable Model for IT Based Health System at GrassrootThis is a model for IT based health services at grass root level by strengthening the health data collection and information systems. Handheld device based data collection methods are developed and tested in this project. Computerised data is maintained at PHCs and CHCs . The data at PHCs and CHCs is digitally updated from the data on the handheld devices. This also enables automated generation of the work plan on handhelds based on the demographic data entered by the health workers, automated generation of monthly reports, efficient transfer of the data from sub centre to the PHC and CHC, and feedback. The use of handhelds will also be explored for management of childhood diseases and other applications. This is developed by Media Lab Asia and AIIMS Delhi and test deployed at Ballabhgarh, Haryana.
